The managing director of Lama Adventures, Mr. Santa Bir Lama is a “traveler by heart”. He started his journey in the trekking industry at an early age of 13 years, in 1973 A.D.
He was dedicated from the start of his career and he led numerous groups in different parts of Nepal, Sikkim, Darjeeling and Bhutan. Along his journey, tours and treks in Tibet were opened and he pioneered in leading more than 75+ groups.
Mr. Santa Bir Lama’s dream, Lama Adventures started in 1992 A.D. He has travelled extensively in Japan under the invitation of Japan-Nepal Human Development Association. During this time, he gathered many experiences and integrated them into his company.
Also, he is the only member of the JAPANESE ALPINE CLUB from NEPAL.

Other than the travel business, Santa Lama has been engaged in coffee sales and export since 1994, through The Everest Coffee Mill. Santa Lama is involved with various NGOs related with education, health and agriculture, and is also the chairman of Nepal Education Support Association (NESA), executive member of Nepal Mountaineering Association since 2002 and member of Himalaya Rescue Association.
